Margaret Quilty

d. January 14, 2022

Margaret (Peggy) Quilty nee McGee.  Preceded in death by her husband Bernard, her mother Catherine, her father John, her brother Jim (the late Beverly) and her sister Anne Trecek (the late Richard).  She is survived by her sister Janet Donohue (the late Jerry) and brother Bob and sister-in-law Patricia McGee.   She was a loving mom to Brian (Pam), Maggie Olson (Erv), Kevin (Carol), Marty (Mary) and Tim;  Dear grandmother of Ervin (Jessica), Patrick, Colleen, Marie, Kelly Craney (Mike), Jaden and Sean.
Peggy was a long-time resident of Evergreen Park and was very active in her home parish of St. Bernadette’s for the 6 decades she was a member.  As was the case with many women of her generation, she focused her attention on her family and provided a loving home for all members.  In her later years, she took on painting landscapes and provided countless hours of volunteering to help those in need of companionship during their own health challenges. This included being a Eucharistic Minister at church, in-home and in hospitals.  Peggy loved to do crossword puzzles and was an avid reader, even at the very end of her life.   Throughout her life Peggy maintained many deep and close friendships and will be greatly missed by all.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lightways Hospice (Joliet).
