Mae Geraldine Doljanin, 87, left her bodily home December 18th, 2020 to go live with our Lord. Born May 15, 1933, the second oldest of seven children to parents Michael and Anna Doljanin. Mae graduated from Lindbloom High School in Chicago, IL. and worked at CF Trucking for 45 years.
She was the family's cheer leader who applauded everyone's accomplishments and the underdog's champion. The epitome of low maintenance and a simple lifestyle, her maternal instinct led her to give more of herself to others than to herself. When help or encouragement was needed, Mae showed up. She was generous, selfless, fun to be with and always a good sport.
She loved family gatherings, gardening, browsing resale shops and staying busy. There was an unbreakable loving bond with her sisters Shirley, June, Donna and Joyce. A tireless worker, Mae was active and self-reliant until the near end of her life. She died peacefully in the home of her loving niece Kimmie where she spent her final years. Her youngest sister, Joyce was her ultimate caretaker and angel of mercy, as well as Annie and Sophie.
Loving sister of Matthew (Janet) Doljanin, Donna (Robert) Basick, Joyce Austin, the late James (Alice) Doljanin, the late June Crisman, and the late Shirley (Wayne) Tichelar; also survived by forty-six nieces and nephews and their children; predeceased by her parents Michael and Anna, nephew Mark Crisman, and nephew in law Sun Kyu Sung.
