Lorraine Young

Our beautiful Mom, Lorraine Young (aka Lola) passed away peacefully at home after her long struggle. God took her home April 16, 2025 at the age of 97 years. Born in Chicago to John & Anna Gizowski, she was the youngest of their five children; Angeline (Leroy), Rose (Teeko), Katherine (Hank), and Peter (Anna).

Lorraine's marriage to the late John Dunne brought three children into the world; Lynne Dunne, Michael Dunne and Patricia Zett (nee Dunne). She later went on to marry the late William Young. The late Robert Zett, Sr. beloved husband to Patricia, was loved like a son by Lorraine.

At an early age Lorraine worked at Goodman Equipment and later went on to work at Montgomery Ward for 30 years, where she formed long lasting friendships with Colleen, Agnes and Rita. Our Mom worked hard all her life for her children and we will never forget her sacrifices for us.

A special thank you to extended family who brought many memorable and cherished moments into Lorraine's life; Niece Dorothy, Cathy, Jeff, Ashley, Rita, Larry, Kristin, Brian, BZIII, Hayden, and Maddie.

A special thank you to the Pearl Team; Team Lead Tami, Pilar, AJ and Chaplin Omega. Also Caregiver Mariah. We were blessed to have them for Mom's care and their care for us.
