Ernest P. Kukec age 90 beloved husband of the late Angeline nee Malpede; loving father of Anna Marie (James) Tomczyk, Paul E. (Catherine), and the late William; devoted grandfather of Joshua and Sarah; fond brother of the late MaryAnn (Marty Schlossberg) Chiarelli Schlossberg and the late Robert (Mary) Kukec; son of the late Peter and the late Lillian; also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Born and raised in Chicago and longtime resident of Evergreen Park; graduate of Ward Elementary School, Englewood High School and DePaul University; award-winning salesman for ReaLemon, Borden Foods and Chelsea Milling Co. (Jiffy); worked with his father at Peter Kukec & Sons grocery store aka Pete’s Meats in Chicago; proudly served as Seaman First Class on the U.S.S. Woonsocket (PF-32) in the US Coast Guard during World War II and is registered with National WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Longtime member of Knights of Columbus Quigley Council 2428, American Legion Post 2910 and retired salesman luncheon group in the South Suburbs. Visitation Wednesday December 30th, 2015, 3-9pm at Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 S. Kedzie, Evergreen Park.
